Have you seen the new look Fresh Hunger website yet? We’ve been shining the silver, polishing the glasses & giving the girl a fresh coat of paint. It was time. Let me show you some of what’s new…
A simple header. And still with the neutral colors I love so much. A variation of greige that looks different on all devices depending if your mobile device or computer runs warm or cool. But it’s a combination of warm, grey tones.
Three menu bars, one right up the very top, one just above the carousel of pics & one at the bottom of the page so you can jump around easily. If you can, look at Fresh Hunger on a computer; it looks great. I love the moving pics at the top. They also move on a mobile device but you just see one image at a time.
- We have easy to read web links, something I add to most of my posts.
- New, easy to read fonts, but still keeping my whimsical font. Google will like me better.
- A new layout for the category section & in time there’ll be another two of these. They’ll change often with new content.
- One of two subscribe bars, the one pictured above goes the full width of the screen.
- The one below is at the top in a column. If you haven’t signed up, better sign up now.
Every recipe will now has metric & US conversions, just toggle on the links under the ingredients when you’re next wanting to convert a recipe. There’s an easy print button in the recipe too so you can print & save the recipe.
And now, detailed nutritional information on all recipes. I hope you find that useful.
It’s been crazy since I came back from Australia mid February. My website crashed as I was getting ready for a photo shoot & juggling multiple jobs. Turns out it was a plugin I was updated that caused my site crash. I’ll spare you the details but during the course of all this fuckery (& trust me it was), turned out I needed some updating anyway – well, don’t we all?! That led to a whole new look for Fresh Hunger. So voila, here she is.
The new look site is designed by Kate who owns Designer Blogs – an amazing company I’ve been using for years: affordable & Kate is not only a great designer, she is a wizard with coding so she knows how to set up your website, not just make it look pretty. Plus she does logos, business cards & such. If you’re needing a new online look, you definitely need to get in touch with her. She’s busy (because she’s so good) but she is fast & very efficient. And she is patient with me. Something I appreciate. Just click on the link above.
I’ll make us a cup of tea & reach into the cookie jar while you take a look around, let me know what you think but only only if it’s good okay? None of that negative shit. Joking. Sort of. And one more thing, if you’ve read this far & haven’t dozed off, well good for you but, if you subscribe to Fresh Hunger, you should be receiving an email every Friday with all the latest & greatest. I know, you cannot wait for for Friday now (hopefully it works, I use Mailchimp & I think between Kate & I we have it schedule right). The idea of the magazine was a lofty one – remember a while back. It was too much for one person who actually does paid work & who’ll be making some cooking videos in the coming months. Finally.
Cheers for now, Lovoni xo
